NZQA Unit Standards included:
Upon successful completion, learners achieve the following NZQA unit standards:
Unit Standard 4646
Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for licensed premises.
Unit Standard 16705
Demonstrate knowledge of alcohol service responsibilities, intoxication management, and maintaining safe drinking environments within licensed premises.
Once assessments have been successfully completed, credits are reported to NZQA and learners receive a Tree House LCQ Certificate
Please note:
The Sale of Alcohol Act 2012 Section 216:
A Person may not be appointed as a manager of any licensed premises for the purposes of this Act unless the person is of or over the age of 20.
Section 222 Criteria for manager’s certificates: In considering an application for a manager’s certificate, the licensing committee or licensing authority, as the case may be, must consider the following matters:
- the applicant’s suitability to be a manager
- any convictions recorded against the applicant
